On This page, I will share some Projects that clients have brought in to me for repair, and whenever possible I will show step-by-step progress. This current project is ongoing. It’s a bit of a challenge, to say the least! This is a Fender Acoustic Model Number: F-1020 S BLK. It was found by the side of a skip!…as you can see from the pics, someone had decided to try and convert it into a semi-acoustic, using household general-purpose filler!!!

Material required: Mahogany Layers to laminate.

Step 1: clean the area and remove all the caked in General prpose filler.

Step 2: add layers of the Mahogany to fill the hole, using Titebond 2 (stronger than the wood itself!). and leave for 24 hours. Once The final layer of Mahogany is added (above the level of the side panel, I then sand it down to the approximate level of the side panel.
